Monday, Aug. 3

A woman reported damage to a memorial tree planted at Jamiel’s Park.

A Detroit Avenue man reported finding a dead crow in his yard.

Someone complained that two men were yelling at each other on Main Street.

Police responded to Martin Street after getting word that a man there may have choked his juvenile son. No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Aug. 4

Someone complained about a man without shoes walking down Kinnicutt Avenue.

Someone stole the batteries from several cars parked along Market Street.

Police spoke to a Wood Street woman who improperly left a mattress out in the road in front of her home.

A Ridgeway Drive man complained that landscapers were parking their trucks on his family’s property.

Amadin Asemota, 31, of Providence, was arrested on a Pawtucket warrant after a car stop on Market Street.

A Wood Street resident asked for more police patrols on the street.

Wednesday, Aug. 5

Medication was reported stolen from a Libby Lane apartment.

An assault was reported on Market Street.

Police were asked to disperse a disorderly customer from a Metacom Avenue business.

A caller told police that a “short” man assaulted a “short woman” on the side of Main Street, near Church.

Stephen M. Mattos, 46, of 389 Child St., first floor, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to his home for a disturbance.

Thursday, Aug. 6

Cows took a stroll down Libby Lane, again, and their owner was told to come and corral them.

Police got a call about a person stuck in a vehicle on Serpentine Road.

Someone found a knife on Davis Street, and called police.

A Canario Drive resident who was sent an image of a gun called police and reported feeling threatened.

Police were asked to check on a drunken man on Market Street.

Friday, Aug. 7

The harbormaster checked out a report that kids were playing on an abandoned sailboat moored off Maple Street.

A barking dog complaint came in from Main Street.

Police were called about a landlord/tenant dispute on Market Street.

Michael P. Harvey, 45, of 325 Child St., was picked up on a bench warrant from Sixth Division District Court.

A fireworks complaint came in from the Laurel Park beach area.

Saturday, Aug. 8

Gilbert F. Rene, 26, of 136 Main St., Apt. 1E, was charged with violating a no contact order.

A Third Street woman told police that someone opened a credit card i her name.

A Child Street man told police that someone rummaged through his apartment.

Keith E. Kittell, 48, of Pawtucket, was charged with disorderly conduct after police went to the Park N Ride on Franklin Street just after 5 p.m. for a suspicious person.

Someone companied about excessively loud music on Kelly Street.

Rescue crews were called to Bristol, for a boat collision in Mt. Hope Bay.

Sunday, Aug. 9

A juvenile was reported missing from Main Street.

Someone found a knife on Market Street and turned it over to the police.

Police stopped to help boy who was having trouble with his bike. The officer was able to fix the bike, and the boy went on his way.

A barking dog complaint came in from Rollingwood Court.

A woman on Market Street reported being followed and harassed by juveniles.

Two weeks, two bones found; this time on Hugh Cole Road. Police said it was from a deer.

Someone complained about a person speeding down Harris Avenue on a moped, with kids on the back.

Someone found an ATM card and turned it in to police.

Monday, Aug. 10

A loose goat made a break for it on Libby Lane before being led bahhhhck into its enclosure.

Police got a report of a “vehicle possibly hiding” behind a Metacom Avenue building. No word if the car made a break for it.
