Warren police logs: Man charged with leaving scene of accident

Monday, Aug. 31

Adrian R. Karikas, 50, of 165 Market St., was charged with disorderly conduct after police got a complaint about a man laying on a bench along Main Street.

A loud music call came in from Union Street just after 10 a.m.

Someone stole items from a home on King Street, police reported.

A Market Street resident reported that items went missing during a move.

Someone found a hypodermic needle in the rocks at the bottom of Bridge Street.

Nicole C. Marro, 20, of Babylon, N.Y., was arrested on a charge of unlawful drinking — ID card misuse. Police had no further information in the log.

Police went to a neighbor dispute on Union Street.

Police got a call about a person panhandling on Main Street just before 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

Someone complained that a car was doing donuts in a Metacom Avenue parking lot.

Police called the owner of a credit card found on Main Street, who came to HQ to pick it up.

Police got a call that a man carrying a knife was walking around Brown Street.

Wednesday, Sept. 2

A lightning strike damaged a home on Baker Street.

A Facebook harassment case was called in from Homestead Avenue.

Two syringes were found at Child and Everett streets.

Thursday, Sept. 3

Alexandra Leste, 23, of 26 Harris Ave., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after she was involved in an accident on Market Street at 2:17 a.m.

Mary Ellen McCool, 32, of 106 Vernon St., was charged with disorderly conduct after police got a call about an unwanted woman in an Ellis Avenue apartment.

Rescue crews tended to an intoxicated woman just before 5 a.m.

Police dispersed a man who was reported urinating on a fence along the bike path, and harassing passers-by.

John Tregaskis, 55, of Warwick ,was charged with failing to stop at an accident, after a hit-and-run was reported on Market Street at 3:07 p.m.

A woman called police from her car to report being tailgated on Market Street.

A neighborhood dispute was called in from Laurel Lane.

Tyler Anthony Bagley, 23, of Providence, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing an officer, after a minor accident at Main and Miller streets just after 6:30 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 4

A caller reported road rage on Main Street.

Jonathan S. Costa, 24, of Bristol, was charged with domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property, and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to Vernon Street for a disturbance.

A landlord/tenant dispute call came in from Washington Street.

A panhandler call came in from Market Street just after 9 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 5

A Third Street woman reported a larceny from her home.

Sunday, Sept. 6

A barking dog call came in from Main Street at 2:21 a.m.

A loud music call came in from Long Lane just before 5 a.m.

Heather L. Quintal, 32, of Riverside, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police got a report of an aggressive driver on Market Street just after 9:30 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 7

Fire crews responded to an oven fire on Reservoir Avenue.

A Paiva Street resident complained that a neighbor washing his car was making too much noise.

A Main Street caller reported hearing gunshots; police said it might have been fireworks.
