At 4:32 p.m., an Eagleville Road caller reported that a calf was in his neighbor’s back yard. At about 5:30 p.m. the owner arrived to retrieve the calf.
Tuesday, Nov. 24
At 1:24 p.m., a caller from Dunkin Donuts on Main Road reported that a female was arguing with an employee over the price of a cup of coffee and refused to leave.
At 2:52 p.m., a Colonial Avenue caller reported the theft of a tractor and landscaping equipment.
A caller from a Tiverton school reported at 3:51 p.m. that two parents, who were separated, were having an issue during a parent-teacher conference at the school. When police arrived, the parents had left and the dispute was determined to have been only verbal.
At 5:06 p.m., the owner of a local gun shop reported that four guns he had purchased from a customer had been previously purchased, with fraudulent checks, by that customer from someone else. Now the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) wants to confiscate the weapons, has the customer who’d used the bad checks in custody, and the gun shop owner wants to press charges against the customer who sold him weapons.
At 5:12 p.m., a 14-year-old girl called to report that another 14-year-old girl and an 18-yearold girl, “state that they will be the first to slap her and want her to meet at [a local] school to fight.”
At 8:25 p.m., a Main Road caller reported that tenants on another floor “have pit bulls they let run up and down the stairs” and the caller said she was concerned for her children.
A cat was reported at 8:32 p.m. to be 40 feet up a tree in a Lake Road back yard. But at 8:55 p.m., rescue personnel reported that “they were unable to gain access to the cat, ” because it had climbed further up the tree, to about 60 feet above the ground. Rescue personnel said the owners “were going to wait until tomorrow and see if it comes down.” No word on the outcome.
Wednesday, Nov. 25
At 5:46 p.m., Chelsea Elizabeth Balestracci, 23, of Warwick, was charged with possession of a stolen car or parts.
At 6:47 p.m., a calf was spotted running down Fish Road from Fall River. At 7:06 p.m. officers reported the owner was at the Park and Ride on Fish Road because he “believes the calf has made a home in the Park and Ride area.”
Saturday, Nov. 28
Karen A. Braga, 64, of 99 Hancock Street, Apt. 259, Tiverton, was charged at 3:39 p.m. with domestic vandalism.
At 9:32 p.m., a Chace Avenue caller reported an injured homing pigeon in her driveway all day and on the porch. DEM provided the caller with the phone numbers of a Wildlife Clinic and of the Fall River Pigeon Club .
Sunday, Nov. 29
At 2:10 a.m., both Pamela Sharkey, 49, of 44 Restful Valley Road, Tiverton, and Sean W. Quintin, 47, of Somerset, were charged with domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct, in an alleged incident that police said occurred at that address
