A detective answered and spoke to man who said he had Adderall pills he wanted to sell — could he stop by now? A woman’s voice could be heard giving instructions in the background.
So police returned to the 5 Senechal St., Westport, house where they had made the first arrests and waited.
“And pretty quickly a car pulled up,” said Westport Detective Antonio Cestodio
A man later identified as Justin Houston, 18, walked up to the house where he was met, not by a drug contact, but by Westport detectives. He was searched and arrested, as was his mother who had driven the car, Lisa Donahue, 46. Both live at 150 Lowell St., apartment 3, Fall River.
The pills they brought were identified as Adderall, a Class E amphetamine/dextroamphetamine. They were found in the car along with a prescription for those drugs filled out for Ms. Donahue’s daughter.
Earlier, at 10 a.m. that day, police had executed a search warrant at the 5 Senechal St., house to search for narcotics. Det. Cestodio said members of the police department’s Community Action Team had been investigating possible drug sales there for several weeks.
They found Oxycodone (10 milligram and 30 mg versions) along with Clonazepam (Klonopin). They also located approximately $1,000 in cash, a digital scale, and cell phones which indicated the sales of drugs.
Two pit bull terriers inside the house were controlled with the assistance of the Westport animal control officer.
Two people who live at the house were arrested. Frank Hobbs, 31 and Melissa Tavares, 33, were both charged with conspiracy to violate the drug laws, and possession with the intent to distribute both Class B and Class E drugs.
Mr. Houston and his mother Ms. Donahue were both charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and possession with the intent to distribute Class E drugs.
