Police responded to a 911 call for a burglary attempt at a Foote Street home in Barrington at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
A resident at the home and a postal worker who was in the neighborhood reported seeing a young white man (about 18 years old) with short brown hair wearing a green shirt and gray/black pants try to enter the home through a window.
After he was spotted by the resident, the man reportedly fled from the scene in an off-white station wagon.
Nothing was reported missing from the house.
