The Bristol Police Department responded to the following calls between Sept. 22 and Sept. 28:
Monday, Sept. 22
A resident on Franklin Street called police because he thought a car parked on the street looked suspicious. The car was parked legally and there were no issues. It belonged to a Roger Williams University student, who later moved it.
A caller reported a man and woman appearing to be having an argument turned down a dead end street south of Cole Street just before 5 a.m. Officers checked the area, but could not find the car.
A caller reported seeing a man steal coffee from the Dunkin Donuts on Hope Street. The staff did not wish to press charges.

Tuesday, Sept. 23
Officers investigated reports of a suspicious vehicle outside Robin Rug on Thames Street around 3:30 p.m. The keys were reportedly in the ignition with the windows rolled down. It was gone when officers arrived.
A cat was reportedly shot with a BB gun on Evelyn Drive early in the afternoon. The woman was calling from an animal hospital in Swansea, Mass., where the cat was treated.
Wednesday, Sept. 24
A caller on Harrison Street reported a neighbor was screaming and swearing in her home around 8:30 a.m. There was no problem, according to police reports. The woman was upset that her dog had gone missing.
Police apprehended a Bristol man who reportedly hit two signs with his car in Portsmouth, just before getting on the Mt. Hope Bridge. He reportedly admitted to police to hitting the signs. They delivered him back to Portsmouth.
A resident on Sousa Street called to complain of loud noises form outside just before 10 p.m. The state Department of Transportation was painting lines on the street.
Officers helped a resident on Woodlawn Avenue whose horses got loose.
Thursday, Sept. 25
A bicycle was reportedly stolen from a home on Bay View Avenue.
Officers responded to several animal complaints, including a barking dog on Aaron Avenue, a stray cat complaint at Elder Care One Incorporated on Franklin Street, and roadkill on Cliff Drive.
Friday, Sept. 26
Officers responded to a three-car accident near the East Bay Development Corporation on Wood Street just after 1 a.m. The victims were transported to Newport Hospital, Charleton Memorial Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital.
A resident on San Jose Drive complained of two men in tan pants and blue shirts walking house-to-house around 11 a.m. claiming to be from a home improvement company. Officers investigated, finding they were indeed soliciting for RI Home Improvement. Their manager was advised to check in at the police station in the future.
Cast iron doors were reportedly stolen out of a van on Wood Street around noon.
Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Colonial Road in which a father claimed his ex-wife would not hand over their child’s medication. It turned out to be a miscommunication and there was no problem.
A strong odor of natural gas brought officers to investigate at Union Street and Noyes Avenue around 8:30 p.m. National Grid was notified.
A caller reported hearing three gunshots around 11 p.m. at Wood and Union streets. The report was unfounded.
Officers responded to nuisance/noise complaints throughout the day on Charles Street, High Street, Metacom Avenue, Charlotte Drive and State Street.
Saturday, Sept. 27
A caller reported a man down neat East Burial Grounds on Mt. Hope Avenue just after midnight, with another man standing next to him. Police investigated, but could not find either man.
More noise complaints dominated officers’ time, as they responded to complaints on Wood Street, Roma Street, St. Elizabeth Street, Rock Street, Sachem Road, Oliver Street, Hopeworth Avenue and Catherine Street. Most reports involved house parties or people talking loudly outside.
Sunday, Sept. 28
A group of juveniles were reportedly hanging out on the Mt. Hope Bridge just after noon. No action was required; officers found the juveniles off the bridge on the Portsmouth side.
A motorcycle rider was brought to Rhode Island Hospital after an accident at Sip N Dip on Hope Street.
There were several more nuisance calls Sunday, including loud parties at night, college kids hanging out under the bridge, harassing text messages from a resident’s landlord, and a group of people laying on the basketball court at Sowams Park on Sweeney Lane. The incidents were either unfounded or needed no action.
