The Bristol Police Department responded to the following calls between Dec. 15 and Dec. 21:
Monday, Dec. 15
The animal control officer rescued a dog out of a home on High Street that had a minor fire in the walls caused by workers soldering.
Another fire report, this one on Catherine Street, turned out to be food burning on the stove.
A resident on Wilcox Street reported a suspicious black vehicle in the neighborhood. It turned out to be a constable delivering paperwork.
Tuesday, Dec. 16
A resident reported seeing a coyote in the bushes on Valley Drive. There was no action required. Coyotes are prevalent throughout Bristol.
A resident reported smelling natural gas in the area around Hope and Union streets. National Grid was notified.

Wednesday, Dec. 17
A resident on Monroe Avenue called to complain about noise from contraction on the upstairs apartment just after midnight. Police advised the residents to quiet down for the night.
A man was reportedly sifting through recycling bins on Sullivan Lane, and a resident called to complain. He was gone when officers arrived.
Officers dispersed a man panhandling at State and Hope streets. He boarded a RIPTA bus.
A school bus driver called police to report a disorderly parent had boarded the bus at Belvedere and Leahy drives just after 4 p.m. Officers filed the report.
Packages that had been delivered to a home on Hope Street were reportedly stolen.
Thursday, Dec. 18
Officers broke up a fight and removed an unwanted guest at a home on Jennifer Drive at about 12:30 a.m.
Officers investigated a domestic assault claim on Siegel Street in which a woman reportedly assaulted a man around 8:30 p.m. There was no arrest made.
Friday, Dec. 19
A resident complained of a suspicious man checking electric meters on homes on Hope Street. Police confirmed he was working for National Grid.
Officers investigated a possible breaking and entering on Bay View Avenue around 3:30 p.m. The report was unfounded.
Someone dumped a mattress and box spring on High Street.
Several calls about reckless drivers came in, including at 2:15 p.m. at Wood Street and Bay View Avenue, at 7:30 p.m. on Fatima Drive, and at 9 p.m. at Hope and Asylum roads.
Saturday, Dec. 20
A resident on Lafayette Drive called to report strange noises coming from inside the home just before 5 a.m. It turned out to be her boyfriend returning home.
Sunday, Dec. 21
A woman was reportedly driving southbound on Wood Street with her young child sitting on her lap around 10:30 a.m. Officers pulled the car over near Roger Williams University and issued the woman a warning.
Officers investigated claims a resident on Bay View Avenue was threatening a neighbor. No arrest was made.
