A Barrington resident filed a complaint with police last week, alleging problems with a doctor who works at the emergency walk-in clinic on Maple Avenue.
The woman filed the complaint on Friday, Jan. 9, after a recent visit to the clinic. She said she stopped by the clinic because she was feeling sick and, having relocated to town recently, did not have a primary care physician yet.
Once inside the clinic, she was reportedly told that she would have a lengthy wait — upwards of an hour. She said that when she was finally able to see a doctor she was bothered by his tone.
She was reportedly diagnosed with a sinus infection and bronchitis; she prescribed medication but was concerned when she learned that she was to take 13 pills on the first day of treatment. The woman also told police she has been experiencing side-effects with the medication.
