SEEKONK — The life of Karen McHugh, the town resident killed last weekend in a still unresolved hit-and-run accident, was celebrated Saturday morning, Feb. 7, with a funeral service at the Seekonk Congregational Church.
According to Seekonk Police Chief Craig Mace, the service was attended by many family members, friends, co-workers and local government officials. He continued, Seekonk Police department is thankful for the assistance received in escorting Karen’s funeral procession to Fall River. Assisting agencies were the Swansea Police Department, the Somerset Police Department, and the Fall River Police Department.
“We are continuing our quest to identify the vehicle that struck Karen,” Chief Mace added. “In an effort to further our appeal for help to the public, we have posted two portable sign boards. One sign board has been placed in the 700-block of Arcade Avenue. The other has been placed in front of the Dr. Kevin Hurley Middle School on Newman Avenue.”

“We are very thankful for the assistance from these business and community organizations,” Chief Mace said.
