PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth police report from over the past week.
Monday, Aug. 10
Erin K. Campion, 35, of 273 Bristol Ferry Road, was charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct following a 10:21 p.m. report of a domestic disturbance at her home.
Tuesday, Aug. 11
Bryan A. Carbajal, 24, of 150 Beattie St., Apt. 6, Fall River, was arrested at 11:46 p.m. on a bench warrant issued by Sixth District Court. Police stopped his car for speeding on Route 24 northbound near Boyd’s Lane.
Wednesday, Aug. 12
Stephen C. Putnam, 42, of 47 Cottage Ave., was charged at about 11 p.m. with domestic assault (third offense), making threats to public officials, resisting arrest and violating a no-contact order. After responding to his home to investigate a report of a domestic altercation in progress, police found Mr. Putnam standing on the stockage fending connected to the residence. When he was asked to step down, he cursed at officers, resisted arrest and was tased after multiple warnings, according to police. While being transported to the police station, Mr. Putnam threatened to come after an officer once his handcuffs were off, police said. A female whom Mr. Putnam allegedly assaulted was transported to Newport Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Thursday, Aug. 13
Tristan J. Pinnock, 38, of 11 Bernard Lane, Little Compton, was charged at 2:30 a.m. with driving while intoxicated (first offense), driving without or on an expired license, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. His car was stopped on West Main Road at Hedly Street because it crossed over the fog line multiple times, according to police.
Dieuveuil C. Jeremy, 22, of 9 Oak St., Attleboro, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) and refusal to submit to a chemical test just before midnight. Police stopped his car on West Main Road near Freeborn Street because it was being operated erratically, police said.
Saturday, Aug. 15
Anthony L. Gonsalves, 47, of 284 Corys Lane, Apt. B., was charged with domestic assault at 7:17 a.m. Police said Mr. Gonsalves struck a Portsmouth woman at his home during an argument that morning. Mr. Gonsalves had driven away from the scene by the time police had arrived, but his vehicle was later stopped on Route. 24 northbound near Sprague Street.
Sunday, Aug. 16
Jmax Christensen, 35, of 6 Summer Ave., Apt. 9, Springfield, Mass., was charged with domestic assault just after midnight following an incident at the Founders Brook Motel on Boyd’s Lane. A woman told police that during an argument with Mr. Christensen, he grabbed her wrists and her throat and pushed her against an outer wall of the motel.
Monday, Aug. 17
Bridget Arkins, 50, of 274 Archer St., Fall River, was arrested at 1:16 p.m. on a bench warrant issued by Second District Court. Police stopped her car because it was being operated on West Main Road near Melville School well under the posted speed limit (30 mph in a 45 mph zone).
Alexander D. Cabral, 23, of 35 Pondview Drive, Fall River, was charged with carrying a pistol without a license or permit. Mr. Cabral was a passenger in a pickup truck stopped on West Main Road shortly before 9 a.m. because the operator was not wearing a seatbelt and the vehicle was lacking an inspector sticker. An officer approaching the vehicle observed a loaded pistol laying between the operator and Mr. Cabral, just six inches from his left hand. Both occupants were ordered to place their hands on the dashboard. Police said there was also an active bench warrant for Mr. Cabral’s arrest.
