Barrington police conducted a series of alcohol compliance checks last week, and the businesses checked passed with flying colors.
An 18-year-old Barrington man served as the police decoy and entered two restaurants, one private club and two liquor stores, each time trying to purchase alcohol without an ID.
Upon each attempt, the business’s employees asked for the man’s ID, and when he was unable to show one, they denied him.
Police said the decoy stopped by Tong D, Miku Sushi, the American Legion club, Brickyard Wine and Spirits, and Grapes and Grains.
