Attempted Tiverton traffic stop leads to drug charges

TIVERTON — After trying without success to stop a vehicle on Stafford Road, Tiverton police followed it and caught up to the 28-year old Tiverton driver as he entered an apartment building on Windwood Drive.
The man, Raymond Wilcox, of 730 Windwood Drive, Apt. #307, Tiverton, was charged on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 10:18 a.m., with possession of cocaine, driving while in possession of a scheduled drug, possession of weapons other than firearms, and driving with a suspended license.
Mr. Wilcox was arraigned by a justice of the peace and bail was set at $2,000 with surety. Mr. Wilcox is due back in court on Dec. 18.
